Hockenheimring and Mishumotors present the 2020 NWES Finals at the Essen Motor Show

With more than 300,000 visitors, hundreds of cars and thrilling attractions, the Essen Motor Show is one of the most important automotive, tuning and motorsports events in Europe. Right in the middle of it, the Hockenheimring and the beautiful Mishumotors #70 Chevrolet Camaro are promoting the 2020 NWES Finals that will take place at the legendary track in Baden-Württemberg.

More than 130,000 motorsports and automotive enthusiast attended the event during the first weekend of the 10-day-long Essen Motor Show and several guests visited the Hockenheimring booth to engage with the German race fans. Among the guests was TV star Karl Geiger, who made his EuroNASCAR Club Challenge debut in Germany in 2019.

Having his own US car show on German TV channel DMAX, Geiger teamed up with Mishumotors, the team owned by his close friend Mirco Schultis. The Munich native fell in love with Euro NASCAR the very first second he drove the 400 hp V8-powered car and the pure racing feeling it transmits.

“It was an awesome experience driving this powerful V8 car with a simple four gears h-pattern gearbox,” said Geiger during the Essen Motor Show. “The brakes are like they have been built in the good old days. The car was perfectly set up for the Hockenheimring and it was just old-school racing without any electronic aids. This series is perfect for people who have gasoline pumping through their veins.”

For the 2020 NWES season, Geiger wants to compete at the Hockenheimring again. The iconic German track will host the Euro NASCAR Finals for the very first time after joining the series in 2017. The four championship-deciding rounds will take place on October 17-18 and will for sure provide thrilling door-to-door action.

While Geiger plans only one start in the next season, another Geiger family member could make it to the grid with a larger program. “Mirco is a good friend of mine and I will drive the car for him in Hockenheim for sure,” said Geiger. “But we will discuss other plans with him as well: my daughter wants to race in the series too and we will take a look if we can make this happen. If everything works out, she will be on the grid in the 2020 season.”

The Essen Motor Show will continue until Sunday, December 8 and for the entire duration of the show, fans visiting the Hockenheimring booth in Halle 5, stand 5C18 will receive one free ticket for every American Fan Fest ticket they will buy.

The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series will be back on track on April 25-26, 2020 in Valencia, Spain. The Circuit Ricardo Tormo is the home of the season opener since 2014 and repeatedly proved to be one of the most exciting tracks in the schedule of the European NASCAR series.
