Armetta has been part of the NWES since 2013 and has 32 EuroNASCAR PRO and two EuroNASCAR 2 on his resume. The Italian won the Challenger Trophy in 2014 holds the record for most wins in the trophy together with Henri Tuomaala with 11 successes.

“We are very happy to become a part of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series again”, said the 48-year-old race driver from Rome. “We are really looking forward to competing with our team against all the other strong squads in the championship. The plan is to participate in three events over the course of 2021, but we are still working on making it a full-time campaign. In Valencia, we want to see where we stand in comparison to other teams and collect some solid results in the EuroNASCAR PRO Championship. We thank our sponsor Dinoil for the support that allows us to race in Valencia.”

Over five years, Armetta finished inside the top-5 four times. His best finishes are two fourth places at the Nurburgring and in Le Mans in 2014. The Italian accumulated ten top-10 finishes in his EuroNASCAR PRO career.

The 2021 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series kicks off on May 15-16 at the iconic Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Spain. Qualifying and all races will be streamed live on EuroNASCAR’s social media channels – YouTube, Facebook, Twitch – and Motorsport.tv.
