The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series is ready for the regular season finale at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, close to Magdeburg in Germany, on September 23-24 for the first edition of the American Fest. As the NASCAR GP Germany returns for the first time since 2019 with a new home, the event promises another unique show with fantastic action on and off the track. With four races on the 3.696 kilometer track, Europe’s best NASCAR drivers will compete in the “Pure Racing” style of the best touring car series in the old continent. Buckle up as we provide you with all the important information about the 2023 NASCAR GP Germany.
The Motorsport Arena Oschersleben is located approximately 180 kilometers west of Germany’s capital of Berlin and close to the city of Magdeburg. Opened in 1997, the track became one of the most important venues in Germany’s motorsport world. The track combines fast sections with twisty and challenging sectors that required a mixed skillset to be successful around one lap that consists of 14 turns. The NASCAR GP Germany will host the regular season finale, after which all drivers have to drop their two worst results from the ten races so far.
In EuroNASCAR PRO, a four-way battle emerged on top of the standings. CAAL Racing’s Gianmarco Ercoli suffered a setback in Most after three race wins in Brands Hatch and Italy. The Italian leads the classification by two points ahead of Speedhouse’s driver-owner Lucas Lasserre from France. The Valencia race winner sits ahead of Vittorio Ghirelli, who has been turning around his season since Italy with two race wins. Ghirelli is third, seven points behind Ercoli. Two-time NWES champion Anthony Kumpen follows in fourth, just 19 points behind the leader. Ulysse Delsaux leads the Junior Trophy, while Fabrizio Armetta is first in the Challenger Trophy.
In EuroNASCAR 2, Vladimiros Tziortzis dominated the classification with five race wins this season, but a DNF in Most allowed his competitors to close the gap. The Cypriot at the wheel of the #5 Academy / Alex Caffi Motorsport car leads RDV Competition sensation Paul Jouffreau by just three points, while CAAL Racing’s Alberto Naska follows in third, just six points shy of the leader. Mr. Consistency Gil Linster is fourth, 19 points behind Tziortzis, while Thomas Dombrowski leads the Rookie Trophy, Claudio Cappelli tops the Legend Trophy and Arianna Casoli dominates the Lady Trophy.

Race highlights will be available on the EuroNASCAR YouTube channel at the end of both race days, with extended highlights in English to follow on Thursday, September 28. Extended highlights will also be available in foreign languages on various TV channels in many countries.
Support series and attractions
Alongside the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, a total of two support series will round up the on-track program. The EuroLegends Cup is back on track alongside Belgian Belcar Endurance Series. On Thursday from 15:30 to 17:30, there will be a parade to the city center of Oschersleben with the cars on public roads and all teams as well as drivers available for autographs, photos and nice talks. Oschersleben also hosts concerts and American themed attractions around the venue. On both days, athletic stars as well as regional politicians will visit the track for the event.
