Despite being just 26 years old, Ulysse Delsaux is one of the most experienced veterans on the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series grid with over ten years of permanence in the series. The Frenchman will return to Lucas Lasserre’s Speedhouse in 2024 to compete for the EuroNASCAR PRO title. The 2018 EuroNASCAR 2 Champion joined the French team in 2023 and found the perfect environment to develop not only his racing abilities, but also his social skills. The Troyes native, who was diagnosed with High-Functioning Autism in his childhood, found in racing the best way to open up, and with Speedhouse he has a big family around him to make further strides in his career.
In 2023, Delsaux also became a book author and wrote down all of his favorite moments and the challenges he faced in his successful career. In EuroNASCAR 2, he won a total of four races and was crowned champion in 2018. Since moving up to EuroNASCAR PRO, Delsaux has been hunting for his first race win in Europe’s premier NASCAR championship, but two race wins in the Junior Trophy for drivers aged 25 and under showed his potential when competing against the best European NASCAR drivers. As a result, Delsaux has set high goals for his tenth year of EuroNASCAR racing.
“I just love the pure EuroNASCAR car without any electronic driving aids,” said the Frenchman, whose idol is motorsport legend Jim Clark. “It’s like Formula One from the 50s to the 80s. In 2024, I want to get closer to the overall top-3 in EuroNASCAR PRO and be a regular in the top-5.” In the 2023 EuroNASCAR PRO season, Delsaux finished nine times in the top-10 and seventh overall. “I want to be better than seventh for sure,” said the 26-year-old, who’s still looking back on 2018 with a smile. “That was certainly the best moment and one I will never forget in my life. It will remain one of the greatest memories of my career in motorsport and in my life.”
“I just fell in love with EuroNASCAR and I can’t believe I’ve been here for more than ten years now,” continued Delsaux. I’m very happy and fortunate to be a part of the Speedhouse team. To continue with Lucas, my mechanics and all the staff is just a great opportunity. I feel a good connection with the team and we do a very professional job. We work together, we share ideas and we move forward together. The team really feels like a family.”
Team owner Lucas Lasserre is happy to have Delsaux back, who is a motorsports instructor in France. “He had a great season last year, finishing seventh overall. He’s really fast, determined, but also a sensitive kid who’s a pure racer,” Lasserre said of the passionate sim racer, runner and movie enthusiast. “I have 100 percent confidence in him and his preparation over the winter has been really strong. This year will be special because it’s a big birthday party for him as it’s his tenth year racing in the series.”

Speedhouse is ready to compete for titles and the new season kicks off on April 13th and 14th at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain.
