With a victory in the EuroNASCAR Finals, RDV Competition clinched the back-to-back teams championship – It is the French organization’s third teams title overall and the first under the new Endurance Teams Championship format
EuroNASCAR has found the inaugural winners of the Endurance Teams Championship at the end of seven exciting events in the 2024 season. The #3 RDV Competition Ford Mustang team, piloted by Paul Jouffreau in EuroNASCAR PRO and Patrick Schober in EuroNASCAR 2, was crowned as the champion after the French team took its third consecutive victory at the EuroNASCAR Finals in Belgium. With this triumph, the team owned by Franck Violas successfully defended the title that they have won in 2023 under the previous format and is now the second most successful team in the Teams Championship history with three titles collected.
The battle at Circuit Zolder was hotly contested with RDV Competition, the #72 Team Bleekemolen Toyota Camry, and Marko Stipp Motorsport’s #46 and #47 Chevrolet’s all vying for victory. In the end, Jouffreau’s victory in EuroNASCAR PRO Playoffs 04 sealed the championship for the French team. RDV’s talented young lineup beat the #72 Team Bleekemolen squad. Two veterans of the sport drove the car: Marc Goossens and Michael Bleekemolen. Thomas Krasonis’ two overall podium finishes in EuroNASCAR 2 allowed the #46 team to grab the final podium position ahead of the sister #47 team piloted by Victor Neumann. The #11 Team Bleekemolen Ford Mustang completed the top-5 with Ryan Vargas and Reza Sardeha.
RDV Competition ended their season with 316 points, 32 points ahead of the #50 Hendriks Motorsport Toyota Camry. The Hendriks team saw their Endurance Teams Championship chances evaporate after Gil Linster’s retirement in EuroNASCAR 2 Playoffs 03, but the Dutch team had enough cushion to keep second place. The #46 team ended its year in third with 279 points. The #72 team and Marko Stipp Motorsport’s #48 team completed the top-5 with CAAL Racing’s #54 team, Speedhouse’s #14 and #33 teams, the #47 team and Hendriks Motorsport’s #7 team rounding out the top-10.
The first Endurance Teams Championship has proved itself to be a thriller. With the format rewarding both speed and consistency, teams were given the incentive to fight to the end because everything can change with just one race. There will be more stories to be told from the Endurance Teams Championship when the 2025 season starts at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Spain on 12-13 April 2025.
