TEAM FJ, organizer and founder of EuroNASCAR, expands its presence in North America – A rally program supported by Peugeot is the start of a new project
TEAM FJ is the founder and promoter of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. The championship was established in 2009 and NASCAR joined as the official sanctioning body in 2012. The French organization has its roots in rally racing and has always benefited from its cross-genre racing experience. With strong ties to North America highlighted by its association with NASCAR, TEAM FJ is thinking outside the box to connect with even more racing markets in North America by launching a rally project with Peugeot in the USA and Canada.
A passionate racer and a very successful rally driver himself, Jerome Galpin, President and CEO of EuroNASCAR, has entrusted the project to his son Maxime, who has already gained important experience in managing the organization during his years in EuroNASCAR. The youngster will also drive the Peugeot 208 Rally4 on gravel roads. In the past, Maxime Galpin has participated in French rallies to make his first steps in competitive racing. The TEAM FJ organization never stands still and the cross-promotion of its diverse project in motorsports generates interesting opportunities for drivers, team, fans and partners all over the world.
The USA and Canada are not unknown territories for TEAM FJ, as the founder and organizer of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series maintains strong relationships with NASCAR and IMSA. Driver exchange programs with the NASCAR Canada and Mexico Series round out the perfect profile to explore another area of racing and bring the different disciplines closer together. As in EuroNASCAR, the Rally4 program with Peugeot in North America will launch a great exchange between the two continents and drivers from all over the world, with unique opportunities and customized solutions for all involved.
With competencies clearly allocated within the TEAM FJ organization, EuroNASCAR President and CEO Jerome Galpin and CCO Anne Galpin are ready to take their programs, the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series and their rallying activities to the next level with synergies to be harvested in the future. Thinking outside the box and going where no one has gone before are the two main ingredients for another exciting chapter in TEAM FJ’s rich motorsports history. There’s no standing still, only innovative thinking and creating new opportunities in the strategy of the organization led by the entire Galpin family, a family of racers.
