Vladimiros Tziortzis:
“I did well and earned a scholarship for the NASCAR Euro Series,” said Academy / Alex Caffi Motorsport’s star Vladimiros Tziortzis. “Now I’m representing Cyprus in Europe’s official NASCAR series with race wins, podiums and strong results. I’m happy to be a part of EuroNASCAR because the series provides opportunities for drivers who have the goal of racing NASCAR in the U.S. at the highest level.”
Tobias Dauenhauer:
“The Recruitment Tests were the best way for me to try out a EuroNASCAR car, explore the series and meet all the important people who run the championship,” said Bremotion’s Tobias Dauenhauer. “I raced GT cars before I came to the NASCAR Euro Series. I went to France to get to know the car thanks to Jerome Galpin [EuroNASCAR president and CEO]. I did my best and got a scholarship from the series for my first season. The series helped me with my entry fee.”
Julien Rehberg:
“It was a huge support for me because I was able to adapt to the car,” said Julien Rehberg, one of the most promising rookies of the 2024 NASCAR Euro Series season. “I learnt to shift and to brake a car without any electronic driving aids. I got a lot of advice from Paul Jouffreau and that helped me to improve lap by lap. The weather was also perfect. It was damp in the beginning and dry in the afternoon. I was able to learn to drive the car in any conditions.”
Veeti Rajala:
“I got in touch with the Recruitment Tests through former Finnish EuroNASCAR drivers. We thought it would be a good way to get a feel for the car and the series, so we contacted NASCAR Euro Series President and CEO Jerome Galpin. It was a perfect two-day test. We learned a lot about the series and especially the car. The test was important for gaining experience, and above all, I had fun,” said the young Finn.
Max Marzorati:
“What a fantastic experience in the NASCAREuro Series Driver Recruitment Tests,” stated Max Marzorati, who raced in Italy and the UK. “As soon as you arrive at the circuit you are greeted by the warmth of the EuroNASCAR team, they make you feel comfortable and create a great friendly atmosphere amongst the drivers that makes you feel as if you have known everyone in the series for years. The noise shouts out real race cars, all the noise and vibrations that excite young boys and girls to get into motor racing in the first place.”
Andres Beers:
“It was a beautiful day to have my first drive in a NASCAR car,” commented Andres Beers from Belgium, who made his EuroNASCAR debut at the 2024 Finals at his home track Circuit Zolder. “I felt really confident and fast on every lap that I turned, I learned from the feedback that the car gives. It’s challenging to drive in the rain, but I adapted very well. The car did a good job and I hope that I can test the car in dry conditions.”
Loris Hezemans:
“Before driving a NASCAR I thought it was a car that wouldn’t brake, wouldn’t go around the corners and wouldn’t be fast on the straights, but when you actually drive a EuroNASCAR car, you understand it is a very different kind of driving and the car is the exact opposite of what you thought,” said the two-time Champion Loris Hezemans. “It’s a car you can really play around with. You can still drive with some oversteer: not all the laps will be perfect, but it’s challenging and very satisfying to drive and it’s really old-school, which is very nice. The atmosphere in the paddock is great and it’s you as a driver, together with your team, to make a difference rather than being dependent on a manufacturer performing better or on the BoP, plus budget-wise you can have a lot of fun and career opportunities for an affordable price.”
