A former AutoGP champion in single seaters, Vittorio Ghirelli made his NWES debut in 2019 and immediately proved to be competitive, scoring two podium finishes in the season opener at Valencia. The Italian grabbed his maiden NASCAR Whelen Euro Series win in July at Raceway Venray in what was his oval racing debut.

2020: Ghirelli won the EuroNASCAR 2 championship with 5 wins, 8 top-5s and 9 top-10s with a brilliant final weekend at Valencia.

2021: Ghirelli switched to EuroNASCAR PRO in 2021 to drive the #50 Hendriks Motorsport Mustang. He won his first EuroNASCAR PRO season and contended for the title. Moving to Not Only Motorsport for the NWES Finals, he finished the season 5th in points with 1 win, 8 top-5s and 10 top-10s.

2022: Ghirelli returned to the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series to chase the EuroNASCAR PRO title with Not Only Motorsport, driving the #36 Ford Mustang.

2023: Ghirelli returned to the EuroNASCAR PRO division with Team Bleekemolen, piloting the #72 Ford Mustang to chase the EuroNASCAR title.
